Tassal Prawn Farm

Tassal Group’s prawn farm in North Queensland occupies more than 200 hectares and is dedicated to the production of premium Australian black tiger prawns. Once fully developed, the facility is expected to produce up to 20,000 tonnes of prawns per annum, positioning it as one of the largest aquaculture developments in Australia. Grayspace Planning assisted the client in securing a suite of complex land use and environmental approvals to enable the substantial expansion of the operation.

Hidden Valley Estate / Twin Creeks Eco Resort

The Hidden Valley Estate / Twin Creek Eco Park is a distinctive development located on a 1,000‑acre freehold property in the Whitsundays. The project comprises an integrated rural residential development incorporating a range of tourism-related uses, including a mountain bike park, tourist park, tourist villas, and other complementary recreational facilities. Grayspace Planning supported the client in securing the required local and state government approvals and provided project management services for multiple residential stages of the development that have been successfully delivered to date.

Spring Vale

Spring Vale is a master‑planned rural residential community located in Riordanvale in the Whitsundays. The development comprises approximately 100 residential lots across a 55‑hectare site. The estate offers high‑quality rural living opportunities, with lots enjoying outlooks over the Coral Sea, the Dryander National Park, or surrounding agricultural land. Grayspace Planning has been involved in the project since its inception and continues to provide planning, design and development management services through to the delivery and completion of the development.

Plantation Palms Estate

Plantation Palms Estate is a large‑scale, master‑planned community located within the Northern Beaches of Mackay. The project represents an investment exceeding $1.5 billion in the Mackay region and involves the staged development of a 298‑hectare site. The master plan incorporates extensive areas of parkland and public open space, including retained natural bushland, subtropical wetlands, lakes, delivering strong environmental outcomes and high‑quality residential amenity.

Grayspace Planning has been extensively involved in the project, providing statutory planning advice and leading the preparation and management of complex development approvals, including master planning approvals, reconfiguration of a lot applications, and associated material change of use approvals to facilitate the staged delivery of the estate.

The Drays Farm Masterplan

Drays Farm is a large‑scale, master‑planned mixed‑use development located within the township of Proserpine. The project incorporates a diverse range of land uses, including detached residential lots, units and apartments, retirement living, a nursing home, community facilities, commercial and retail spaces, industrial uses, and extensive recreational and open space areas. Situated on a 60‑hectare site, the development is estimated to represent an investment exceeding $450 million. Grayspace Planning has been involved in the project since its inception, providing town planning advice throughout the evolution of this significant greenfield development.

Freedom Shores Resort

Freedom Shores Resort is a boutique accommodation development located at Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays. The resort offers a range of high end accommodation options, including over water boat bungalows, resort suites, and a beachfront shack with private beach access. The development is distinguished by its striking ocean views, nautical themed architecture, waterfront tavern and smokehouse, and strong integration with the coastal setting.

Grayspace Planning assisted the developer with securing the required development approvals, providing statutory planning advice, coordinating regulatory assessment processes, and delivering project management services. Grayspace Planning also supported approval conditioning and ongoing compliance to facilitate the successful delivery and operation of the resort.
